How can I trust that my data is secure and that you won’t sell it and use it to manipulate me through marketing initiatives and other means?
We are using blockchain technologies put you in full control over your data, which prevents even us from ever seeing it. Your data is stored anonymously on a blockchain, not on our servers. If it gets hacked, nobody will be able to identify your data.
A blockchain has never been hacked successfully. Your only risk is if you give someone access to your information that resides on the blockchain, either voluntarily on inadvertently such that they can pretend they are you.
Is ReliablyME a gamification platform?
No. Although we use badges to build your Commitment Portfolio. However, organizations that issue badges to you may elect to give you special privileges based on the strength of your Portfolio, so they might gamify your ReliablyME experience.
How is ReliablyME different from a credit score?
A ReliablyME Portfolio is very different from a credit score. Your Portfolio displays all of your chosen commitments rather than just paying bills on time. It is a much broader indicator of your integrity and trustworthiness from every aspect of your life than a credit score. However, you could have a weak credit score and, therefore, choose to use your ReliablyME Portfolio to get a loan! ReliablyME is for the “credit invisible”.
I saw the Black Mirror episode, Nosedive, and it scared me. How are you different?
It scared us too! Although we would love to see ReliablyME go viral like the app in Nosedive, we don’t disclose people’s Portfolio information. In fact, the blockchain technology we are using blocks us from seeing any personally-identifiable information about our users. However, our users have full control over their Portfolio information and are free to share it with anyone they wish.
Is this like the communist Social Credit system in China?
No. China is unilaterally gathering data about its citizens from many sources in order to build trust and integrity. We are giving people an opportunity to voluntarily build and control access to their own private portfolios with evidence of their authentic self/social worth and good character. Not even ReliablyME has access to user-identifiable data.
